All manuscripts submitted to Professional Nursing Media Journal (PNMJ) undergo a double-blind peer review to ensure the quality, validity, and originality of the published articles. The review process involves authors, editors, section editors, and peer reviewers, and is conducted as follows:

1. Initial Screening

  • The editorial team conducts an initial evaluation to determine whether the manuscript fits the journal’s focus and scope and complies with the author guidelines.

  • Manuscripts that do not meet these basic criteria will be returned to the authors for revision or may be rejected before entering the peer review stage.

2. Plagiarism Check

  • All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using appropriate software tools before being sent for peer review.

3. Double-Blind Review

  • Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

  • The identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the process (double-blind).

4. Review Duration and Criteria

  • Reviewers are given approximately four to six weeks to evaluate the manuscript.

  • Evaluation criteria include originality, methodological rigor, clarity, ethical soundness, scientific contribution, and relevance to nursing science and practice.

5. Revision and Final Decision

  • Based on reviewers’ recommendations, authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts.

  • The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision (accept, revise, or reject) based on reviewers’ feedback and the overall quality of the submission.

This peer review policy is designed to maintain transparency, objectivity, and academic integrity throughout the publication process, in accordance with the ethical standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
